Soccer Recap: Hopewell Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hopewell can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the William Monroe Dragons on Tuesday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Hopewell couldn't quite close it out.

Hopewell's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5-2. As for William Monroe, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6-2 record this season.

Hopewell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for William Monroe, they will face off against Western Albemarle at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Western Albemarle will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something William Monroe surely won't give up without a fight.
