Academic Magnet had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 7-15 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Timberland Wolves 52-50. This was a revenge game for the Raptors: when they faced off against the Wolves on January 13th, they had to take a 59-53 loss.

As for Timberland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-17. Wolves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Academic Magnet since Friday.

When it comes to explaining why Timberland lost, don't look at Ellis Wiggins. Despite the final result, he shot 78% from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Wiggins is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Kevin Brown was another key player, putting up 14 points and eight boards.
