Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Logan Elm

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Logan Elm had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Hillsboro Indians as they made off with a 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Braves also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2021.

One reason for the win was Logan Elm's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-8.

Logan Elm's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sadie Binkley, who had nine digs and three assists. That's the most assists Binkley has posted over her last eight matches. Gillian Savage also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Despite the loss, Hillsboro still got an impressive performance from Allie Roush, who had 13 digs.

The win (which was Logan Elm's third in a row) raised their record to 18-5. As for Hillsboro, they moved to 15-9 with that defeat, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Coming up, after both having extra time off, Logan Elm and Gallia Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hillsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
