Football Game Preview: Hillcrest Christian Cougars vs. North Sunflower Academy Rebels

The Hillcrest Christian Cougars will head out on the road to take on the North Sunflower Academy Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Hillcrest Christian's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Ben's Ford Christian two weeks ago. They had to suffer through a 30-0 loss at the hands of the Eagles. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, North Sunflower Academy was beaten by DeSoto 60-6 on Friday. The Rebels have struggled against the Thunderbirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Hillcrest Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North Sunflower Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Hillcrest Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against North Sunflower Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 48-42 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
