North Shore is 8-2 against King since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will challenge the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

North Shore fell victim to Atascocita and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, North Shore can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 515th, while Atascocita are ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 8-0 to Kingwood.

North Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-3. As for King, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

North Shore got the 'W' when the teams last played back in February of 2025 against King by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
