Valley Oak Top Player Performances of the Week

Oakdale Gets a Boost from Burford in  63-21  Win
 Starting off the list is Oakdale's  Wes Burford, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Burford rushed for 180 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Burford is  crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 143 every time he's  taken the field this season.
 Sierra's probably not too fond of  Burford given he always seems to get the better of them. When  Burford last faced the Timberwolves  back in September of 2023, he rushed for 287 yards and four touchdowns.

Joey Alcutt Goes Supernova in Central Catholic Win
  Joey Alcutt's big game helped extend Central Catholic's winning streak to three on Friday. Mountain House had no answer to  Alcutt  as he rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Alcutt has become a key player for Central Catholic: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
 Alcutt and Central Catholic will face off against Sierra at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The last time  Alcutt took on the Timberwolves, he rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

 While Patterson might've come up empty  on Friday,  Noah Cozart wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop  Cozart as he picked up 145 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 90 yards.
 This season,  Cozart  has caught 13 touchdowns while averaging 94 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after ten games last season,  he was only averaging 59.5  receiving yards per game.

Chase Lopez Makes It Two for Oakdale
 The second Oakdale player making an appearance here is  Chase Lopez, and for good reason. He rushed for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
 For the year,  Lopez  has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 103.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after nine games last season,  he had one  rushing touchdown.

Coby Joseph Turns in Another Game with at Least 138  Rushing Yards
 The second Patterson player making an appearance here is  Coby Joseph, and for good reason. He rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 138  rushing yards.
 On the season,  Joseph  has run in 6 touchdowns while averaging 92.3 rushing yards per game.
