Softball Recap: Leslie County Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

11 must be Leslie County's lucky number: they beat Buckhorn with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Eagles beat the Wildcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leslie County has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-15 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Buckhorn, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-15.

Leslie County has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Pineville on the 10th. As for Buckhorn, they will be playing at home against Jenkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
