Baseball Recap: Dunbar Comes Up Short

Dunbar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Carter-Riverside Eagles, falling 19-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-8 last Tuesday.

Angel Aguilar made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-2.

Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Carter-Riverside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-10.

Looking ahead, Dunbar will take on Roosevelt at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Dunbar has given up an average of 12.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Diamond Hill-Jarvis has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.15 runs per game on average), something Carter-Riverside will no doubt try to take advantage of.
