Richardson proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 47) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Nimitz Vikings 38-36. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since January 31, 2025.

Richardson pushed their record up to 9-17 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points on average over those games. As for Nimitz, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Richardson will square off against rival Pearce at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Nimitz is set to challenge their familiar foe Irving at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
