Apalachee was led to victory by Autumn Matherly, who turned in her biggest game of the season on Tuesday. Matherly struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk), good enough to set a new career-high in strikeouts in the process.

Matherly's strong effort led Apalachee over Clarke Central and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Apalachee is 9-0 against Clarke Central going back to September of 2015, a lead they'll look to extend.
