Basketball Recap: Canyon State Academy Comes Up Short

Canyon State Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell just short of the BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs by a score of 45-43. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in February of 2020.

Tyler Kuo had an outrageously good game for BASIS - Scottsdale as he posted 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Kuo has scored at least a third of BASIS - Scottsdale's points. John Hampton was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Canyon State Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Canyon State Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against El Dorado at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for BASIS - Scottsdale, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against BASIS - Peoria at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
