Wallace triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Julian Davis

The Wallace Miners gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 71-52 victory over Non Varsity Opponent. For Wallace, this counts as revenge for the 66-38 loss Non Varsity Opponent walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Julian Davis was on fire: he dropped a double-double on 38 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Cleveland, who scored 9 points.

Wallace's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-24.

Wallace will face off against Lakeside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Non Varsity Opponent's road trip will continue as they head out to face Thrall at 12:15 p.m. on November 30th. One thing working in Thrall's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
