Recap: Columbia Eagles vs. Redan Raiders
Make it nine blowout wins for the Columbia Eagles this season. They blew past Redan 80-13 at home. Columbia's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Columbia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Aalon Turner out in front who scored 19 points along with nine steals. Turner has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Keamaura Robinson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Redan struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Columbia racked up 18 assists.
Columbia's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Redan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia will take on Eagle's Landing Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
