Recap: Rich Rebels vs. Cokeville Panthers
The Rich Rebels had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Cokeville by a score of 53-44 on Thursday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Rich's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 115th in Utah, while Cokeville is ranked 17th in Wyoming).
Rich's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ridge Lundgren, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Carter Hoffman was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Rich's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Cokeville, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rich will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Summit at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Cokeville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Burlington at 3:30 p.m. on December 15th.
