Volleyball Game Preview: Carson Senators vs. Bishop Manogue Miners

Carson is 1-9 against Bishop Manogue since August of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Senators will challenge the Miners. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Carson comes in on four and Bishop Manogue on seven.

Carson is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Spanish Springs.

Carson was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 27-25, 10-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Bishop Manogue faced Reno in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Miners had just enough and edged out the Huskies 3-2.

Bishop Manogue was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 17-25, 17-25, 25-14, 15-12.

Carson's win bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Bishop Manogue, their victory bumped their record up to 22-6.

Carson couldn't quite get it done against Bishop Manogue in their previous matchup on October 2nd as they fell 3-1. Can the Senators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
