Wendell was led to victory by Julian Ponce, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Tuesday. Ponce wasn't messing around, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The pitching appearance was his fourth straight with five or more strikeouts.
