East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] took a blow against Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt], falling 68-29. While losing is never fun, East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax] can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt] is ranked 87th).

Lizzie Schlueter and Rainy Nordhausen certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Schlueter dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards, while Nordhausen posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 44.8% of East Atchison [Tarkio/Fairfax]'s points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

As for Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt], they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Nodaway at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Nodaway Valley co-op [West Nodaway/Nodaway-Holt]'s favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.
