Softball Recap: Acton-Boxborough Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shrewsbury, Acton-Boxborough was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Wellesley Raiders 5-3.

Acton-Boxborough is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Wellesley fell to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Acton-Boxborough will venture away from home to take on Boston Latin at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wellesley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Beverly at 5:00 p.m. on the 20th.
