Basketball Recap: Randolph-Henry Comes Up Short

Randolph-Henry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt an 80-14 loss at the hands of the Prince Edward County Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Statesmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 298th, while the Eagles are ranked 56th).

Randolph-Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Prince Edward County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Randolph-Henry and William Campbell will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prince Edward County, they will be home for the holidays to greet Amelia County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Prince Edward County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
