Soccer Game Preview: Southwind vs. Memphis East

The Southwind Jaguars will head out to challenge the Memphis East Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Southwind has given up an average of 3.3 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Southwind challenged Brighton on Wednesday. The Jaguars lost 5-1 to the Cardinals. The result was nothing new for Southwind as the squad has yet to pick up a win this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Memphis East sidestepped Middle College for a 2-1 win. The victory continues a trend for Memphis East in their matchups with Middle College: they've now won four in a row.

Devin Drinkwater and Randy Butler scored both of Memphis East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Memphis East's win bumped their record up to 6-2-1. As for Southwind, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6-1.
