Volleyball Recap: Hilton Head Island Wins Going Away Against Colleton County

Hilton Head Island got their first taste of in-conference action on Tuesday and they started things off strong. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Colleton County Cougars. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Seahawks this season.

Hilton Head Island was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-8, 25-23.

The victory snapped Hilton Head Island's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-13 record. As for Colleton County, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Hilton Head Island will take on rival Beaufort at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Colleton County is set to challenge their familiar foe Bishop England at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
