Baseball Game Preview: Sidney Yellowjackets vs. Miamisburg Vikings

The Sidney Yellowjackets will head out on the road to square off against the Miamisburg Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sidney is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Sidney is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since April 30th on Thursday. They lost 10-4 to Versailles.

Sidney saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Rose, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another was Zavier Perry, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Miamisburg nor St. Xavier made it on the board until the sixth inning. The Vikings came out on top against the Bombers by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Bombers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Reed Warner looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Miamisburg: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-13 otherwise.

Miamisburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April.

Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Miamisburg, their record is now 11-13.
