Baseball Recap: Sierra Vista Comes Up Short

Sierra Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Azusa Aztecs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aztecs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-4 two weeks ago.

Sierra Vista saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cesar Leon, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Sierra Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Azusa, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

While Sierra Vista had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
