Recap: East Clinton Astros vs. Fairfield Lions
The East Clinton Astros were the 53-50 winner over the Fairfield Lions when they last played one another back in December of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. East Clinton was outmatched by Fairfield at home and fell 62-21. East Clinton has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Fairfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Larkin Friend, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Fouch, who scored 13 points.
East Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fairfield, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Clinton will take on West Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Lynchburg-Clay at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
