Basketball Recap: Georgia Christian Generals vs. Citizens Christian Academy Patriots
The Georgia Christian Generals have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 40-33 to Citizens Christian Academy on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Georgia Christian of the 47-34 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture last Tuesday.
Addy Harris was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds for Citizens Christian Academy. Harris hasn't dropped below 16 points for ten straight games.
Georgia Christian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Citizens Christian Academy, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-13.
Georgia Christian will take on the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest Georgia Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Citizens Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westfield School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Patriots in Georgia (the Hornets are ranked 86th, while the Patriots are ranked 274th).
