Softball Recap: Nash Central Bulldogs vs. Northern Nash Knights
Nash Central can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Monday. Everything went their way against the Northern Nash Knights as the Nash Central Bulldogs made off with a 12-4 win. That's more bragging rights for Nash Central, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
HANNAH FRAZIER was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). FRAZIER was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, HANNAH HUDLOW was incredible, going 2-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and a stolen base. LAYLA LAFFERTY was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Like Nash Central, Northern Nash also got a great game from a two-way player: Emily Clay. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Clay was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run.
Clay wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jordyn Harvin, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base, a double, and an RBI.
Nash Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Northern Nash, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-12.
