Basketball Game Preview: Port Jervis Raiders vs. Beacon Bulldogs

Port Jervis hasn't had much luck against Beacon recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Port Jervis Raiders will challenge the Beacon Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m.

Back in January, Port Jervis ended up a good deal behind Beacon and lost 47-29. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 151st).

The victory was the fifth in a row for Beacon, bringing their record for this year to 7-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.4 points per game. As for Port Jervis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
