Frankfort and Anna-Jonesboro are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Redbirds will head out on the road to face off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anna-Jonesboro took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Frankfort, who comes in off a win.

Frankfort took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over Benton. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Redbirds as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Anna-Jonesboro came up short against DuQuoin on Monday and fell 6-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

Anna-Jonesboro saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Sheffer, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Sheffer has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Anna-Jonesboro's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Frankfort, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-7.

Frankfort suffered a grim 10-4 defeat to Anna-Jonesboro in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Redbirds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
