Cedaredge won the last time they faced Moffat County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bruins sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bruins.

Cedaredge was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-17, 21-25, 25-19, 18-16.

Leading Cedaredge to victory were Lydia Tietz and Oliva Blair. Tietz had 39 assists and 15 digs, while Blair had nine digs and two aces. Those 15 digs gave Tietz a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Cedaredge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Cedaredge's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Moffat County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedaredge will host Gunnison at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moffat County, after both having extra time off, they and Middle Park will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
