Mt. Carmel extended their postseason success on Thursday against Teutopolis. They came out on top against the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes by a score of 42-32. For the Golden Aces, this counts as revenge for the 43-40 victory the Wooden Shoes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Maycee Randall continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Mt. Carmel's points. Riley Hershey was another key player, going 5-for-12 to rack up 15 points.

Mt. Carmel is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 21 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-4 record this season. With the defeat, Teutopolis broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 25-9.

Looking ahead, Mt. Carmel will square off against Bishop McNamara at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bishop McNamara will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Mt. Carmel surely won't give up without a fight. Teutopolis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
