Volleyball Recap: Broadwater Academy Takes a Loss

Broadwater Academy lost against StoneBridge back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vikings lost 3-0 to the Cavaliers.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-6.

Neiley Guinan paced Broadwater Academy's offense, picking up two kills. Guinan got some help from Caroline Caison and her five assists. Caison was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading StoneBridge to victory were Lauren Bickley and Nyah Beckwith. Bickley had six aces and three digs, while Beckwith had five aces. Those six aces gave Bickley a new career-high.

Broadwater Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for StoneBridge, the win keeps them at an undefeated 24-0.

Looking ahead, Broadwater Academy will head out to challenge Hampton Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for StoneBridge, they will host Portsmouth Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
