Basketball Game Preview: Campolindo Cougars vs. Irvington Vikings

Having just played yesterday, the Campolindo Cougars will jump right back in to play the Irvington Vikings at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Campolindo is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Las Lomas just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Knights 58-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cougars came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Knights are ranked 252nd).

Meanwhile, Irvington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 79-70 to Washington.

Irvington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Campolindo, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 13-5.
