Northview had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Paxton Bobcats by a score of 8-3 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Chiefs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Jamison Gilman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mikayla McAnally was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kylee Langham, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Northview hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive matchups.

Northview's record now sits at 18-6. As for Paxton, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Coming up, Northview will challenge Jay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chiefs 3, the Royals 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Paxton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
