West Blocton had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. West Blocton's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-10. As for Pelham, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Blocton will venture away from home to challenge Demopolis at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pelham, they will be taking part in a tournament against Prattville Christian Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Prattville Christian Academy's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Pelham's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
