Football Game Preview: Braintree Wamps vs. Needham Rockets

The Braintree Wamps will head out to face off against the Needham Rockets at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Needham took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Braintree, who comes in off a win.

Braintree took a loss when they played away from home back in September, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They came out on top against Durfee by a score of 15-6.

Meanwhile, Needham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-7 heartbreaker at the hands of Newton North.

Needham's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Braintree, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Braintree might still be hurting after the 31-9 defeat they got from Needham in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Wamps avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
