Basketball Game Preview: Collins Tigers vs. Mendenhall Tigers + Official Tickets

Collins will challenge Mendenhall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Tuesday, Collins needed a bit of extra time to put away Stone. They skirted past the Tomcats 64-62. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since December 3, 2024.

Collins got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tywon Barnes out in front who went 8-for-12 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds. Those 17 points gave Barnes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayden Allen, who posted 13 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, Mendenhall entered their tilt with Forest Hill on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They took down the Patriots 66-47.

Mendenhall's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Collins, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Collins didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Mendenhall when the teams last played back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 64-60 win. Will Collins repeat their success, or does Mendenhall has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
