Recap: Carolina International Comets vs. East Ridge Pioneers
On Thursday, the stars were shining brightly for Carolina International in a 60-44 victory over East Ridge. The win made it back-to-back wins for Carolina International.
Carolina International got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Steven Jefferson out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Jefferson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Michael Davis, who scored 15 points.
Carolina International's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.3 points per game. As for East Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Carolina International and Carmel Christian will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on December 30th at. East Ridge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Hickory Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on December 22nd.
