Cordova is 7-2 against Arlington since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Wolves are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Cordova has given up an average of 26.6 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cordova is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They had to suffer through a 56-0 loss at the hands of Houston. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Arlington faced off against Lakeland Preparatory on Friday. The Tigers enjoyed a cozy 23-6 win over the Lions.

Arlington found their leader in sophomore Rod Lucas, who rushed for 121 yards and a pair of scores. Those 121 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Lucas.

Arlington was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Arlington's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Cordova, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Cordova couldn't quite get it done against Arlington in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 21-13. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
