Football Game Preview: Lafayette Commodores vs. New Hope Trojans + How To Watch

Lafayette is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will square off against the New Hope Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Lafayette is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Friday, Lafayette strolled past PURE Academy with points to spare, taking the game 30-14.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lafayette's defense and their 3.5 sacks. Tyler Wiley was especially locked on to PURE Academy's QB and sacked him three times. Wiley also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten.

Meanwhile, New Hope humbled Saltillo with a 62-28 victory. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Lafayette's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for New Hope, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Lafayette was taken down by New Hope 42-7 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Commodores were down 35-0.
