Basketball Recap: Austin Drops Season-High Score on Crothersville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Austin). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Crothersville Tigers 85-8. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 30 points or more this season.

Brynn Owens was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 14 boards. Her evening made it 23 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Austin is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Crothersville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Austin will square off against Floyd Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Crothersville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 57-6 loss against Lanesville on the 22nd.
