Softball Recap: Dallas Makes It Six in a Row at Home

Dallas won the last time they faced Crestwood and things went their way on Monday too. The Mountaineers walked away with an 8-3 win over the Comets. That's two games straight that the Mountaineers have won by exactly five runs.

Dallas let ALYSSA TRAVER and EMMA EICK run wild. TRAVER went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while EICK went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was EICK's first of the season. Another player making a difference was SYDNEY HAYDU, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Dallas' victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Crestwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dallas is set to square off against their familiar foe Pittston at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crestwood will take on rival Wilkes-Barre at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
