Basketball Game Preview: Classical Saints vs. Bennington Bulldogs

Classical hasn't had much luck against Bennington recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Classical Saints are taking a road trip to challenge the Bennington Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Classical is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Marion by a score of 43-35.

Classical's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maggie Neill, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Neill also posted an 80% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024. Nevi Wilkey was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, Bennington waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They took their game with ease, bagging a 55-19 win over the Celtics. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Classical's record now sits at 12-9. As for Bennington, their record is now 18-3.

Classical came up short against Bennington when the teams last played back in February, falling 55-43. Can Classical avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
