Softball Game Preview: Cornerstone Christian Crusaders vs. Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets

The Cornerstone Christian Crusaders will square off against the Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.

Cornerstone Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Packinghouse Christian Academy by a score of 11-10 on Friday. Even if the Crusaders couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Alicia Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 4-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2024. Abi Sweeten was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Norton Science & Language Academy's offense. They lost 25-0 to Calvary Baptist on Friday.

Norton Science & Language Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Cornerstone Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
