Volleyball Recap: Irvine Takes a Loss

Irvine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portola Bulldogs. If the Vaqueros were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 25-27, 25-19.

Irvine's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Portola, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Looking ahead, Irvine will head out on the road to take on Laguna Beach at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Portola, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Dos Pueblos on the 15th.
