Softball Recap: Old Colony RVT Takes a Loss

Old Colony RVT was the 23-13 winner over Bristol County Agricultural when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars took a 24-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chieftains on Monday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kayleigh DeSousa made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 6-for-6 with six RBI, four doubles, and two stolen bases. Maeve Hunter was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and five RBI.

Old Colony RVT's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Bristol County Agricultural, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Old Colony RVT will square off against Blue Hills RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bristol County Agricultural, they will take on Tri-County RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
