Basketball Recap: Jacksonville Christian Academy Skates Past Washington Montessori with Ease

On Monday, the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors really took it to the Washington Montessori Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 62-26 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-8.

Nylah Moore continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 21 points and nine assists. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Jacksonville Christian Academy's points. Addison Sweet was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Jacksonville Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-5. As for Washington Montessori, they dropped their record down to 0-4 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jacksonville Christian Academy will square off against Pitt County P at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacksonville Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Washington Montessori, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mattamuskeet at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th.
