Basketball Recap: Kennett Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Kennett had won 11 straight home games dating back to last season and Alyce Edwards did her part to make it 12 on Monday. The Kennett Indians walked away with a 66-55 win over the Dexter Bearcats thanks in part to Edwards, who went 23 of 41 on her way to 51 points and six steals. That makes it 14 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Kennett's points.

Kennett has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Dexter, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennett will venture away from home to face off against Poplar Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dexter, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dexter Bearcats challenge the Neelyville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
