Basketball Game Preview: Flinthills Mustangs vs. Eureka Tornadoes

Flinthills hasn't had much luck against Eureka recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The two teams will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Flinthills will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Sedan, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mustangs took down the Devils 61-44 on Monday. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Eureka, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with a 72-60 win over Humboldt on Tuesday.

Flinthills' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Eureka, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Flinthills skirted past Eureka 47-45 when the teams last played back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
