Soccer Recap: Poly Comes Up Short

Poly's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Taft Toreadors by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Parrots of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Poly has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-4-1 record this season. As for Taft, their win bumped their record up to 3-5-1.

Poly wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 6-1 victory against St. Genevieve on the 27th. As for Taft, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Ventura on the 27th.
