Softball Game Preview: Hercules Titans vs. Elite Eagles

The Hercules Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Elite Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hercules will be strutting in after a victory while Elite will be coming in after a loss.

Hercules barely beat St. Patrick-St. Vincent the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Titans blew past the Bruins 10-3 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Jazabellaa Cabrera, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Genesis Ford, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles.

Hercules was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .457. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Elite lost 23-4 to Sacramento on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 19 runs.

Hercules pushed their record up to 8-3-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.8 runs over those games. As for Elite, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
